Included in this collection are eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Japanese illustrated books from the holdings of the Asian Art Department at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Department has over two hundred of these books that previously have had very little exposure to the public. This project is ongoing, so newly digitized books will be added frequently to the collection.
